Donated Items—
We thank various persons for their recent donation of school memorabilia and items for display in the history rooms.
Chuck Liston, a Central Dallas grad in 1961, brought some much-needed antique schoolroom furniture to add to the collection. He also donated school items that had been saved by his mother, Winifred Capp Liston (Washington School Class of 1933). We thank Chuck for his effort and thoughtfulness.
Jon West, a Minburn grad of 1956, acquired and brought to the school an old teachers desk.
David Book, Washington School grad of 1958, donated a couple of old time student desks.
Ruth Gottschalk Goldsberry, Minburn Class of 1942, gave to us a collection of notebooks and binders covering the history of the Minburn and Central Dallas Schools.
We are very thankful for what these folks have done. If you have items you would like to donate, please contact us. Our collection is growing and we appreciate what folks are doing to help.

Photos—
More photos have been added to the web site. Once you have reached the home page at www.tri-school.org, just click on “photos” in the menu bar at the top of the page. This will take you to various groups of photos. The grouping, “Current Events and Functions” is the one regularly updated. Just click on the photo by this group title and a larger photo will appear. You can then continue to view a slideshow of all photos in that group or go through them one at a time. If you have photos for any of the groupings, just send a digital copy to our email at wtcsf@tri-school.org and we will get them posted.

Calendar—
This area of the web site is constantly updated to reflect forthcoming events. We do offer the school for rent and have found folks are most pleased with the facility. Family gatherings, social groups, anniversaries, birthdays and receptions represent some of the functions for which people rent the building. Just visit the school web site shown earlier in this message and click on “reservations” to get details.

Contributions—
Needless to say, we always welcome donations. The operating expenses and upkeep of the building continue. Even with volunteers, there is a need for funds so we can maintain what we have and do improvements in an “as needed” approach.

We are thankful for all who support the school whether with donations, memberships, or attendance at functions. We especially thank the dedicated volunteers who put in numerous hours to keep the facility in fine shape. When you next volunteer, consider bringing a friend. We do need additional help!

Tri-School Reunion Recap
Jul 7, 2010
The tri-school reunion was held July 4, 2010. Some 200 folks attended the
gathering at the Washington School. The occasion was most enjoyable and
enabled many to be updated on events in the lives of their fellow grads.

Pictures taken at the gathering are shown on the school web site
(www.tri-school.org). Once on the site, click "photos" at the top of any
web page. Go to page 2 of the photos and enjoy some pictures of some
wonderful folks. You can also go directly to
http://www.tri-school.org/photos/?p=2 and view the pictures.

If you have photo submissions for the website, they may be emailed to
wtcsf@tri-school.org. Please include photo information - time, place,
description to accompany photo.
Tri-School Reunion--July 4th
Jun 17, 2010
The tri-school reunion plans have all been made. The event, as previously
announced, will be held on Sunday, July 4th from 1:30-4:30 p.m. at the
Washington School (junction of P58 & F31) five miles west of Minburn. We
anticipate a nice turnout for this event. The majority of the renovated
school is air-conditioned. All will enter in the southwest door of the
building. There will be nine tables set up inside the door. Attendees will
find their appropriate table depending on the school from which they
received their diploma. We are asking all graduates, along with their
spouse/friend, to sign in at the table and to fill out a name badge.

You are most welcome to mingle within the building, take a tour of the
rooms and to have light refreshments. You might wish to bring along lawn
chairs in case the weather is nice and you would like to spend some time
outdoors enjoying the beautifully manicured grounds.

A program will take place at 3 p.m. Ed Hill, a 1954 graduate of Minburn
School, will make some comments to open the program. The Central Dallas
class of 1960 will be recognized individually as they celebrate their 50th
anniversary. We will also introduce en masse the members of Central Dallas
classes celebrating their 20th, 30th and 40th anniversaries. Special
recognition will be given to individuals who have worked over the last
thirteen years to turn the schoolhouse into a nice facility for many to
enjoy. A history of the renovation process will be presented. A
remembrance of members of the three schools will take place to honor those
who have passed away since the last reunion.

We do not have any formal plans to take group pictures, so please bring
along your camera and you can organize your own groups for photos.

We look forward to a fun afternoon filled with life’s updates being often
exchanged!
